The Girl Who Cried Wolf (A Story about Telling the Truth)

By   Steve Smallman

Age Group: 3 - 6 Years

Description:

Demanding Princess Arabella is thoroughly bored of castle life, so she swaps places with Tom, the humble shepherd boy, certain his job will be far more fun. But minding sheep soon bores her too, and she decides to liven things up with a prank. "WOLF, WOLF!" she yells, sending the villagers puffing up the hill to find no wolf at all. Next comes "TROLL, TROLL!" — another wild dash, another false alarm. The townsfolk stop believing a word she says, which is rather unfortunate when she spots a very real dragon and cries out for help. A bright, mischievous spin on the classic fable, this gives little ones a memorable nudge about why honesty matters.
