Description:

A little green frog leads readers around a pond through the seasons. Along the way children meet tadpoles that wiggle, geese that waddle, herons that wade and turtles that drowse. The words are short, bouncy rhymes, perfect for reading aloud and joining in. Denise Fleming’s bold, colourful pictures, made with handmade paper, make every animal pop off the page. This Caldecott Honor book is a wonderful first look at pond life, animal actions and changing seasons for toddlers and preschoolers.
